Salesforce CRM vs Zoho CRM, make the right choice.

Salesforce CRM and Zoho CRM are two popular customer relationship management (CRM) platforms businesses use to manage their interactions with current and potential customers. Chances are, your business might be using one of these platform to manage customer conversations

But if you’re not, which one should you pick? There are similarities, but each platform has its strengths and drawbacks. Here’s how you can make the right decision based on your business goals: 

  1. If you want to improve your brand’s presence: 
    • Salesforce CRM:  Best for enterprises. Salesforce is known for its extensive features, scalability, and market presence.
    • Zoho CRM:  Best for small to medium-sized businesses. Has the right features to start off marketing and customer CRM with. 

      2. If you want to opt for better features: 

    • Salesforce CRM: 100s of features for your sales, marketing, customer service, and analytics teams. It is highly customizable and can be tailored to suit the specific needs of businesses across various industries.
    • Zoho CRM:  provides features for similar teams but may not offer the same level of customization as Salesforce. 

      3. Integration of tools: 

    • Salesforce CRM: can be integrated with countless third-party applications and services, allowing for seamless connectivity with other business tools. Also has many apps built on the Salesforce ecosystem. 
    • Zoho CRM: Also offers integration with various third-party applications and services, but not as extensive as Salesforce. Its own applications like CRM, campaigns, and landing pages come in a package offer. 

      4. Cost and Scalability: 

    • Salesforce CRM: highly scalable and can accommodate the needs of businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large enterprises. However, the price may be too expensive for smaller businesses. 
    • Zoho CRM: Also scalable, but may not be able to accommodate customer needs of enterprises. It’s however much cheaper than Salesforce, including a free plan for small businesses with basic needs. 

      5. Ease of Use:

    • Salesforce CRM: The interface can be complex for new users, requiring some time for training and familiarisation. Usually, Salesforce assigns people to train or internally join your team for consistent collaboration and execution. 
    • Zoho CRM: known for its intuitive user interface, making it easier for new users to get started without extensive training. 

In conclusion, Salesforce CRM is a better option all things considered. While the cost-effective option is Zoho, the former offers more flexibility and allows you to focus on the big picture stuff. If you’re a smaller business, you can begin with the “Essential” or “Starter” edition of Salesforce which caters more towards the basic functions of CRM, while still keeping you exposed to countless apps available for integration.
